Our team
SKYS is led by professionals with experience in alternative education, juvenile justice programming, and family-centered support.
Tim George
Tim brings extensive experience in alternative education and youth-focused programming. His background includes serving as a secondary educator and principal in both public and private school settings, where he developed and led programs for youth who needed increased structure, accountability, and individualized academic support.
Tim has created GED and job-training programs, established alternative schools, and developed an Alternative to Detention Program in collaboration with juvenile probation. His work centers on building structured environments that support academic engagement, responsible decision-making, and positive routines.
Ian George
Ian brings over 6 years of direct experience supporting youth and families involved in juvenile probation and child welfare systems. His background includes providing in-home family support, supervised visitation, community-based skill development, and individualized coaching aligned with court and service-plan goals.
Ian’s work focuses on building practical skills, strengthening family communication, supporting emotional regulation, and helping youth develop routines that promote stability and follow-through.
Direct service staff
SKYS staff support daily supervision, academic monitoring, transportation, skill-building activities, and in-home family services. Team members are trained in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and evidence-informed practices.
Our staffing approach emphasizes consistency, clear expectations, and positive adult relationships. Youth-to-staff ratios are maintained to support close supervision and individualized engagement.
